Library Foundation Capital Campaign 2007
Purpose
In 2007, the Library Foundation worked with the Durrant Group to launch a capital campaign, "Right Before Your Eyes". A group of professional members of the community were invited to sit on the campaign committee to establish the consideration amount. They were asked to sit on the committee because their knowledge of the community enabled them to provide realistic perceptions of the giving capability of donor prospects.
Process
To achieve a goal of $3.26 million, the library asked potential donors to consider larger gifts pledged over three-to-five years. Potential donors were only asked to give to the immediate campaign.
